Andy cohen new years1/2/2024 Here at Tequila Raiders, we do more than write about current events in tequila. One way or another, we imagine it’ll be a New Year’s Eve celebration worth remembering. Given Cohen’s penchant for on-screen hijinks, it’s unclear at this point whether he’ll give in to the network’s directive or double down on the debauchery. In an interview with Page Six published the day after his Rolling Stone party proclamation, Cohen appeared to reverse course, saying “We aren’t drinking, but we’re going to have a BLAST.” Unnamed CNN insiders later told Radar Online, “We claim to be the most trusted network in news and yet CNN hires Andy Cohen to make a fool out of all of us with his New Year’s performance?”Ĭohen is no stranger to drama, but it appears that the backlash may have gotten to him this time. In another viral moment, Cohen belittled “Ryan Seacrest’s group of losers” who were performing right behind him. incredible, drunken rant about /sFUcQUcJNp The drunken revelry culminated when Cohen descended into a rant slamming outgoing mayor Bill de Blasio. While Cohen’s declaration that he is still the “party ringleader” rings true to his famously high-energy persona, it’s worth mentioning that CNN’s proposed alcohol ban is almost certainly directed specifically at him.ĭuring last year’s broadcast, Cohen and Anderson Cooper spent the night slamming tequila shots. And so I can kind of torch the place while I’m there, and then head out.” “I’m going to just march back to Bravo at 12:30 in the morning and be done with it. “CNN said the correspondents will not be drinking,” said Cohen. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Cohen clarified that his status as a guest correspondent will supposedly exempt him from the alcohol ban. No one can predict Andy Cohen’s next move this New Year’s Eve.įollowing a public request by CNN boss Chris Licht that anchors refrain from alcohol during the network’s notoriously boozy New Year’s Eve broadcast, Andy Cohen has been giving some mixed messages, to say the least. But this year, he might need to change his attitude. Andy Cohen has racked up iconic, if not regrettable drunken antics on CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast in the past.

Roger mcguinn uk tour 20141/2/2024 They were one of the first groups to make psychedelic rock and, along with the Beatles, pioneered raga rock with songs such as “Eight Miles High” and “Why” - compositions that spanned both genres. Tambourine Man”) and Pete Seeger (“Turn, Turn, Turn”). The Byrds led the way for the folk-rock movement with hit covers of songs by folk legends such as Bob Dylan (“Mr. They are universally regarded as one of the most influential rock bands ever. ‘At the Edge of the Water’ was written as an ocean voyage.”Īs a founding member of the Byrds, McGuinn was part of a band that could be considered “early birds.” The Byrds were a rock band based in Los Angeles. I cut some recently-written songs and some that have been 20 years in the making. It was fun to re-record them and get all the harmonies down. “They were all done in my studio using ProTools. And, I recorded a sequel to ‘Chestnut Mare.’ Tambourine Man,’ ‘Turn, Turn, Turn,’ and ‘So You Want to Be A Rock’N’Roll Star.’ I play them as close as I can to the originals. “On my new album, I have re-recorded ‘Mr. “We did the 50th anniversary of the Byrds’ ‘Sweetheart of the Rodeo’ album. “Last year, I toured with Marty Stuart,” said McGuinn. McGuinn revisited a special time in the Byrds’ history last year. Tambourine Man,’ ‘Turn, Turn, Turn,’ ‘Eight Miles High,’ ‘So You Want To Be A Rock’N’Roll Star,’ ‘Feel A Whole Lot Better’ and ‘My Back Pages.’ It’s a loose set so I can change things in the middle.” “There are songs than fans always want to hear such as ‘Mr. “Obviously, I do a lot of Byrds’ songs,” said McGuinn, whose jingly-jangly playing style on Rickenbacker guitars influenced an amazing number of musicians (including R.E.M., the Kennedys and Sloan). McGuinn has a lot of songs from which to draw for his live shows but some choices are predictable. In my live shows, I do different stories at different times - things like how the Byrds got formed or what it was like playing with Dylan and Tom Petty.” “I’ve got a lot of good memories and I like to share them. Outdoor venues fizzle in that you can’t control the sound.” “I do around 50 gigs each year,” said McGuinn. McGuinn has released several albums in the last 15 years including “Limited Edition” in 2004, “Folk Den Project” in 2005, “CCD” in 2011, “Stories, Songs & Friends” in 2014 and his brand-new album “Sweet Memories.” I do the same thing with the songs from ‘Sweet Memories.’” What I change is the stories around the old songs. “I do the hits and I play some new stuff. “It’s like a one-man play,” said McGuinn, during a recent phone interview from his home in Orlando, Florida. McGuinn has had a major influence on rock music over the last four decades. It is a history lesson in the evolutionary development of rock music in America. If you attend Roger McGuinn’s show at the Colonial Theatre (Bridge Street, Phoenixville, 610- 917-1228, on April 25, you’ll be treated to a great musical performance and a lesson in rock-and-roll history.Ī concert performance by Roger McGuinn is more than just a music concert.

Best pdf reader for mac reddit1/2/2024 But maybe your test pdf with the hidden text layer is somehow tricking mat2? (Can’t say.) But mat2 will wipe it all, and without the `-L` argument nothing that was ever added or embedded should be left, incl. Many PDF metadata removal tools just play tricks: if you use the macOS Quartz Engine, it will just write different metadata if you use exiftool, the metadata will be left in a recoverable state, which could even increase the PDF size slightly if you use qpdf, it allegedly removes even this latent/recoverable metadata, but might leave it in, if that metadata is referenced somewhere else in the PDF. But even with the `-L` argument, mat2 is (to my knowledge) the only tool that will remove metadata for real, i.e. When you run `mat2 -L foo`, it will ensure a smaller filesize (via *actual* metadata removal), but it will retain embedded images, font, text layers etc. But you have to run mat2 without any arguments. So it does a *lot* more than just metadata removal. For the moment, Adobe Acrobat CC remains the only tool capable of reliable redaction of PDFs, and even there I have my doubts.Īfter your comment, I tested mat2 again, and I used a PDF with metadata, embedded fonts and a text layer (265 kB), and mat2 turned it into a flat PDF, no metadata, no fonts, no text layer (1.5 MB). Redact is only part of the solution – sanitize is the more difficult and more essential companion. I have written this before and will repeat it here: no redaction tool can be worth using unless the same app can scavenge PDFs for hidden content in the way that Acrobat’s Sanitize tool does. The visible letter fragments are a bit worrying, but its inability to redact the invisible text casts doubt on its use for anything in the slightest bit serious. Preview’s redaction tool actually does appear to do quite a good job, as far as it can see text in a PDF document. When examined in Acrobat’s Sanitize tool, it was able to recover the visible fragments of letters, and the whole of the hidden text. So has Preview removed that, or was it too fooled into leaving what it couldn’t see on the page? That invisible text is easily recovered from the PDF using Adobe Acrobat CC. However, my redaction test file contains a secret: the visible text actually extends further to the right, off the edge of the page. Save the file, though, and when it’s opened it does appear to have been fully redacted apart from a few fragments of letters at the right edge. More troubling, perhaps, is that when you place the pointer over the area of redaction, you can still see the text which has been “removed permanently”. Once text has been selected for redaction, it’s shown in black overprint with Xes, which is reassuring. When you first select the command, unless you’ve already disabled it, you’ll be warned that what you’re about to redact will be removed permanently. Once you’ve finished, visit the Tools menu and uncheck the command before you wipe anything else out: this isn’t a single-shot command, but a tool state. If you just want to select text, you can use the text selection cursor otherwise draw a box around the area and it will turn black. Open the document you want to redact, select the Redact command in the Tools menu, and outline the text and graphics which you wish to redact. And any user whose sensitive content has been left accessible in a redacted PDF will never forgive you. In short, no one should ever choose to develop a redaction tool for PDFs, as it’s a course to almost inevitable failure. Ensuring that all those objects have been properly redacted, and none leaks anything that could cause trouble, is an almost impossible task. Not only that, but they often contain objects from previous edits, some of which may still contain text which is invisible to the user. A typical PDF document consists of dozens or even thousands of objects containing snippets of text, each normally compressed and assembled in a complex tree. The PDF format was never designed for tasks such as redaction of content. This article looks at how thorough that is, and whether you can rely on it removing all access to sensitive content in your PDFs. I hadn’t noticed it before Big Sur, but Apple’s bundled Preview app can now redact PDF documents.

Dreamweaver tuts1/1/2024 The tutorials are appropriate, therefore, not just for graphic designers wanting to get into the web, but also to anyone just wanting to learn Dreamweaver, HTML or CSS. In writing for the new site I worked on the assumption that the reader could know absolutely nothing about website design or production, but could still work comfortably throught the articles and be much more confident at the end about using Dreamweaver and designing for the Internet. There are plenty of designers and Photoshop-savvy publishers out there who, after years of creating work for the print medium (either at home or professionally), need to expand their horizons and create for the web, which inevitably means learning Dreamweaver. In the spirit of my Graphic Design Training website (this one) the website design tutorials on are easy-to-follow and were originally created for folks who have an eye for design, but no idea about how to implement those ideas into the framework and functionality of a website. How to plan, design and build a website using Dreamweaver but I wanted to approach the site build from the point of view of a graphic designer - not a coder/developer. Until now I had steered clear of website design tutorials because I had always assumed that there were plently out there already - and there are. One of the most common requests I get is for some website design articles. I was very pleasantly surprised when it started to get popular, and I get plently of great feedback from it every day. A few short years ago I launched this training site - It actually started life as a studio training manual, and the thinking behind it was that if a novice designer had read the site and understood it, they could easily get through their first day in a graphic design studio.
